The Gallery, which is situated on the second floor of the Pitti Palace , has a fine collection of paintings and sculpture, mostly Italian, dating from the late 18th century to World War I. The elegant rooms, which were formerly inhabited by the Lorraine grand-dukes, are decorated with works of the neo-classical and romantic periods. There is also a splendid collection of works by artists of the Macchiaioli movement and of other Italian schools of the later 19th and early 20th centuries. NOTES: - Last Admission: 12.30PM - Museum entrance rules: You must be at the museum 30 minutes before your scheduled entrance time to redeem your tickets - Your reservation vouchers will be delivered to you only after we process your request and confirm the reservation. At a minimum it takes from 1 to 2 business days to process your request - You will receive your vouchers by fax or e-mail if you will be leaving home too soon for the vouchers to be shipped.
